5 Benefits of Coaching

Before you sign up to do something, especially if it’s a major investment of your time, you probably want to know what you could possibly gain from it.  Is it going to be worth your time and money?  Hell yeah!  I know I do.  With your ever growing schedule, your time is so valuable.  If you are going to add another thing to your calendar, it better be some kind of good.  Throughout my journey, I have learned how beneficial Coaching can be—if you lean into it— so I put together my list of 5 possible benefits of Coaching.  I say “possible” because let me be clear, you have to put in the work.  It’s the only way results can be achieved.  I cannot do the work for you.  But if you come ready, open, and willing . . . the world better watch out!  Because your fire will be ignited and there won’t be a single person who can put that fire out.

1. Motivation

Motivation equals productivity.  I believe when you are working towards a goal, motivation can be one of the deciding factors in the length of time you accomplish it.  If you go at it with a true desire to get it done, it will get done a lot faster (and probably a hell of a lot better).  Motivation is the first step towards crushing your goals.  Coaching can boost your confidence and provide you with motivation.  Some days you may not feel as motivated, but guess what . . . I am a motivator.  It’s what I live for!  I know what you need to hear to get fired up. It might not always be what you WANT to hear, but what we want and need aren’t always the same thing.

2. Accountability

If you know your Coach is going to hold you accountable, this will assist in the motivation to get something done.  As humans, we don’t like to let others down, including ourselves.  When you hop on that call with me and I ask if you followed through with your promises from the previous call, the last thing you want to do is say no.  And if you do say no, you better have a damn good reason.  Either following through with a desired action or taking the time to decide why you shouldn’t follow through will only move you closer to your goal.  I hold my clients accountable because being responsible for your own actions is what ultimately leads you to making better choices

3. Focus on you

Coaching sessions allow you time to solely focus on yourself.  Your wants, needs, desires, goals, dreams, thoughts, and actions.  This is something people don’t do enough!  It’s so important to fill your own cup.  The better you take care of yourself, the better you can take care of others around you.  During our sessions, it’s all about you, boo.  You are 100% in charge. They will be uninterrupted and confidential.  You can feel comfortable being you and saying whatever is on your mind knowing that it stays between us.  I am there to be your advocate.  I will provide encouragement and unconditional support free of judgement because it’s your life and it should be lived on your terms.  Investing in you is what we will do together, as a team.  I believe in you.  And sometimes, having someone truly believe in you makes you feel like you can do anything.

4. Insight.

In the words of my man, Dr. Phil, “Insight is the ability to see and understand why you do what you do.”  Focusing on getting to know yourself better often leads to insight.  With insight, you’ll likely gain perspective, clarity, and self awareness.  If you can strengthen the relationship you have with yourself, you can become your own best friend—someone you can really trust, honor, and love.  The deeper you discover who you are, the more aware you become with the choices you make and why you make them.  And life is all about choices.  I want you to be so in tune with yourself that you are easily making the right choices for your best life.

5. Change.

If you go all in and put in the work, change is inevitable.  Change can be super scary for most, but you can’t get from point A to point B unless you change your mindset and behavior.  You can’t be who you want to be by remaining who you are.  That is what separates the good from the great; willingness to change and adapt.  Change equals growth.  With newly secured insight, you can take a look inside yourself and honestly point out what you need to change in order to achieve your goals.  This could give you the potential to achieve transforming personal growth.

And there you have it, my friends! If any of this gets you pumped up and excited, why wouldn’t you try and find out more? Maybe I’m the perfect Coach for you! And if I’m not, there are so many others out there. Everyone can benefit from some Coaching. Everyone.
