Why My Coaching Hits Different
A client (and friend) sent me a meme that made me set my phone down. I thought about it for 3 days. It said, “Your insight is the product, service, and revenue driver—treat them accordingly.” It hit me like a ton of bricks. In that moment, I realized that my gifts as a coach are so personalized to ME. Only I can offer them the way I do. They’re the reason coaching with me is so special. I asked myself, “Why don’t I talk about them more?”
Maybe it’s because I didn’t always see them as gifts. Even though these things come naturally to me, it’s taken time (and a lot of self-reflection) to actually recognize and own them. Funny how that works, right? So without further ado . . . let me share the two gifts I bring to the table as a coach.
My first gift is intuitive clarity. If you just said, “Huh?”—I get it. I would’ve said the same thing a few years ago. But over time, I’ve gotten more confident in speaking about it because I’ve spent a lot of time tuning into it, trusting it, and learning how it speaks to me.
Everyone has intuition. And everyone’s intuition speaks to them in its own unique way. As I connect with mine deeper, my capacity to trust it also deepened. And let me tell you, every time I went against it? I felt it later. You know that feeling: “Dammit! I knew I should’ve listened.”
As I cultivated this connection, I started to notice how clearly it showed up during my coaching sessions. When I’m fully present and actively listening, I’ll suddenly “hear” a word, phrase, question, or topic. It’s not a literal voice. . . it’s more like a gentle inner nudge. A quiet knowing. And while I may not be able to explain exactly how it works, what I do know is that the words that come through are clear. I began to follow these nudges and use them to steer the direction of the session. Clients were receiving insights and clarity that felt surprisingly aligned. Sometimes, I’m nudged to share a message that has absolutely nothing to do with what we’re discussing. . . yet it still lands. Sometimes, it’s a suggestion to reference something from my personal experience or wisdom (more about that in the second gift). Sometimes, it’s the question—or series of questions—that makes the client’s lightbulb go off. When I’m plugged in, I feel like I’m simply the vessel. Whatever needs to come through, comes through.
And honestly? It’s kind of magical.
Learning more about Human Design allowed me to fully accept my gifts. As a projector, I'm here to see you—deeply, energetically, and truthfully. Even my best friend lovingly complains how she hates that she can’t hide from me! My natural role is to guide. I’m not here to push or fix. I’m here to recognize, reflect, and reveal. This means I have a natural ability to sense what’s really going on beneath the surface—often before my clients can put it into words themselves. I see patterns, hear what’s not being said, and I hone in on the truth beneath the surface.
My intuition acts like a compass, it tunes into what’s unsaid. It’s guiding me to the root of what's holding someone back. Then I bring it into focus which helps create awareness, relief, and aligned action. It’s not about giving answers, it’s about helping my clients see things more clearly. With me, my clients feel seen, held, and gently called forward. Together, we create space for the client’s truth to emerge—and when it does, the next step starts to become more clear.
My second gift is lived wisdom. I’ve lived a lot of life–and that’s one of my greatest assets as a coach. I may only be 43, but I’ve packed in a wild, exciting, and diverse range of experiences! My path hasn’t been a straight line, but it’s been real and full of growth.
I’ve made plenty of “mistakes”—though I’ve come to see them as lessons in disguise. I’ve had deep, raw conversations with such an interesting mix of people. I’ve heard just about everything which has only deepened my curiosity and compassion. I can hold space without judgement because I acknowledge that we all have our shit. Learning, researching, and experimenting have always come naturally to me. I am a walking library of stories, tools, insights, and perspectives! When I coach, I draw from this personal database. It is a resource, BUT my coaching is never one-size-fits-all. It’s tailored and intuitive. I meet people where they are, find a way to relate, and help them feel understood. I believe it would be hard to do what I do without this kind of life behind me.
And here’s the thing: I’m still learning. Still evolving. That’s part of what makes this particular gift so viable. It grows as I grow. Every new chapter adds another layer of insight to how I coach! This isn’t just wisdom I’ve read in books (though I love a good self-discovery read). This is lived knowing—earned through being fully in it. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. What I do have is perspective, presence, and a whole lot of respect for the journey you’re on.
And this isn’t something I studied—it’s something I am.
